IAB not working
A17 no wire
A20 red wire
connected A20 to A17 and left A20 open
iab still not working.
did different years of 18C1's use different polarity IAB actuators that require different wiring?

Yes they did. I believe that 94-95 used power from the ECU, and 96-up used ground from the ECU. It may have been the opposite.

you are correct. 94-95 use a +12v switched (so its only on when the car is on) and 96+ used a ground. you really should have searched though, this has been covered oodles of times. gl

What you need to do is open up the wiring harness on the drivers side untill you get to the IAB plug. Connect the black wire to +12v from the injector jumper plug harness (black/yellow wires) and you are good to go.
