Default I will be doing a miniswap

well since cash is real low ill be dropping a 94ex engine in my 92 VX hb. Well i have never attempted an egine swap but i do work on my car like basic stuff that needs to be replaced.i want to attempt this myself b/c it seems like it may be fun. my question is i dont have an engine lift, do any of you know where i can rent one and is there any substitution?

places like autozone may rent them
if not there about 200$ to buy
it CAN be done without a lift but i couldnt tell you how

There is no way on earth you can do the swap without an engine lift, Unless superman is your friend and he is willing to help you out.

Just a thought...

...It may be possible if you have your car on a lift. Put a serious jack under the motor and when the motor is free, have a few people help you balance the motor on the jack while the car is raised on the lift. I guess same deal with putting another motor in. But if you're going to use a car lift, you might as well get the engine lift and be smart.

I didn't use a lift when i swaped. i just put my car up on jack stands and put a 2 by 4 on top of my jack and gentely lowered the engine down.
