how much, and how hard?
from people who are experienced, how much is it going to cost me to get a 92-95 hatch, 2.2 lude engine, and make it work, with harnesses, and fitment?
how difficult is it going to be for me to locate a good 92-95 hatch? do they fall off of trees? are people hard to part with them? what is the general sale price of one with a crappy engine and tranny, but good clean body?
thanks in advance!

one hunder billion dollars...haha a 92-95 cx will run ya 2500-3500. a 92-95 si will run ya 5-9k. a 92-95 dx will run ya 3000-6000. prices are not exact, depending on condition of car. an h22 swap will run you $3000 complete swap. custom mounts run you about $700. you do tha math. also, labor....lots of labor. unless your ***** are big enough for you to do it yourself.

thanks for the info! yah, whatever I get I will be doing everything myself.
I am tossing around a few different ideas on cars that I can do this with, and have narrowed it down to a few contenders.
MGB chassis, with either a buick 218 (small alluminum V8) or a SC Bseries (lots of welding will make it work!
VW BUG chassis with a 2.5L type 4 (porsche) engine
Miata with a SC miata engine
civic hatch 92 on up with a B20, or H22 all motor.
after hearing your parts list I am kind of thinking maybe going miata, I just want the sun on my face and the wind in my hair......
and something I can afford!

If you go the route of H22A in92-95 hatch, be prepared to give up AC, Power steering, and handling. But the butt load of power you get makes you forget about all that.

MonsterMiata's are FAST!!! I mean STUPID FAST. They started that ish here in Daygo.
As for the H22 hatchy, yea, it can be done, but no AC, no PS, front end heavy, busted axles, etc....
If you wanna go fast, that's how it's done. 13's on streets stock, 12's easy to achieve.
