Default How to Keep an automatic transmission in a swap ?

I have an 88 OEM SEDAN DX, the engine i would like to put in is a 90 CRX Si BLOCK with a 96 1.6L SOHC V-TEC HEAD; my mechanic believes that I may need a different throttle body, (SOMETHING ABOUT THE KICK-DOWN) also he isnt possitive on which ECU would work best with this application. he is considering AN ACCORD THROTTLE BODY & AN automatic INTEGRA ECU... ANY insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

You could probably do that.. Use the TB from the SOHC VTEC though I would think.. For the ECU you'd probably be best to use the D16A6 ECU with some sort of VTEC controller like a VAFC to activate the VTEC.. I don't think a teg ECU would be a good idea..

When my Civic was auto I used to have a DOHC ZC swap.. It was pretty quick.
