I have a 99 gsr motor in my 92 vx. I took the sensor off the top of the intake. (sensor with 2 tubes) Right now I have a hove coming otu of my black box on the top of the firewall, and a hose coming from a black canister in teh bottom of the firewall. where do they both go? I only have 1 place on the motor left to put a hose. but I have 2 hoses open. help me out here.
oh yeah, the place I have open on the motor is on the back on the intake. Give me some advice. thanx.

 

The black box on the fire wall (right in the middle of it, correct?) is some sort of vaccume line that does not apply to the GSR motor.. I had the same prob when i did my swap. Just take off that box alltogether. Its the canister one that should be plugged in. If your talking about what i think your talking about. The black box right by the intake manifold.. i think mine had 2 hoses coming out of it. Well i hope this helps! Good luck!

 

ok. so I take off the black box from the firewall. what about the black sensor on top of the intake? it has 2 hoses coming out of that. what do I do with that?

 

I'm going to have to take a look at my engine to see what your talking about.. i'll try to look at somepoint today..

 

can you take a picture of the two hoses you're talking about? the thick one most towards the front of the car on the canister goes to the second place on that sensor. the one on top of your IM. the other hose off that sensor goes to a place on the manifold, facing the firewall. the only one i have left is the littlest one off that canister.
