why does hmo charge 2200 for a ls motor and 2300 for SIR2, i mean i would better buyin the sir2 for 100 bucks more rite,, im and tell me why? im tryin to get a full setup on a b18b for no more than 1200 legit!

 

Your suggested price does not fall in line with current supply and demand. If you want a full swap for that price you should stay vigilant looking for individual parts because I have never seen an individual or a business sell an LS swap that cheap.

There was a post in the classifieds not too long ago someone was selling a complete ls swap for $800 in new york, i think his username was JeffNA or something like that.

 

i have swaps for $1700 and individual ls motors with low miles for $600-$700

I can get full b18b , and b18a1 swaps complete for 800 bux ecu axles harness tranny

 

i have a jdm b20b swap fgor sale w/ls hydro tranny no axles or shift linkage selling the motor tranny and ecu for $1200 also has a proactive stage 1 clutch
motor has bout 25k on it tranny has bout 90k on it clutch has bout 7k on it

HMO are "homos" because he sells a b16 for 100$ more than a b18b?
do you know much about these engine? no? ok let me explain somthing

the b16 has been produced since the late 1980s the second gen since 1991 (YES 1991, it appeared in the 1992+ cars) that means THERE IS ALOT OF THEM and they are easy to get.

the LS motor or b18b, isnt a very high demand motor because there is no VteCkH.

but an LS motor with a b16 or ITR transmission will spank a b16 past 110mph.


and you will NOT find a 1200$ full swap for a b18b thats legit or sold by a company with any kind of warranty.
youll find a longblock for about 1000$ but not a swap.
so take your foot out of your mouth till you know what you are talking about.

the b16a2 was only here in 99 and 00

 

the SECOND GEN B16 (b16a2, b16a3 and JDM b16a) was made 1991 and UP.
yes the b16a2 was only 99-00 but we arent talking about that

the SIRII is a second gen b16.

naw!! what car did the b16a2 come in 91 and up?? i amnot bashin steve at all.. how can i bash a person i dont know! i was just sayin all over sites have b18b for about 400 less,,, but then again"steve: has a full setup? i guess u guys like steve!! but how do the motors come from hmo?? good shape!

 

I have had good business with HMO..I dont see any reason for the bashing, but anyways....

 

the second gen b16 was not available in the US till the del sol in 93.
but the SIR hatchback (from japan) has them. and odds are, if you get a second gen from steve, thats what its comming out of.

those sites that have the LS motor for 400 are NOT the full swap.
just the engine,
steve has the entire thing, engine transmission harness axles ecu etc.

and just for information purposes
B16a= can be anything, first gen second gen, its JDM.

b16a2= 1999-00 civic SI

b16a3= 93-97 del sol vtec

so if your talking about a second gen b16 its just b16a, not a2. the a2 is a specific motor only in a certan car.

If you want a b18b swap just go to your local wrecking yards. They might give it to you for about $1500 for the complete changeover.
