GSR crankshaft and Pistons/rods in a b18a block??
I already searched but cant find anything on this topic... I was wondering if i can use the GSR crankshaft, pistons & rods in a 91 B18A block for LS VTEC... Is it possible?? Is it even worth it?? would i be able to rev up to 8200 rpm??? or should i just keep the LS rods with PR3 pistons and ARP rod bolts???

You can use a gsr crank and rods in a ls but why would you want to? The whoel point of teh LS/Vtec is the extra displacement.

Re: GSR crankshaft and Pistons/rods in a b18a block?? (SilverCivic2k)
Although there are certain reasons for not doing this, I'd also like to know how much of the "internals" from a GSR could be put in a B18A.
One reason (at least it's why I'm interested) has to be with legality and the idea of building a "sleeper". Think about this;
If it's a "B18A", then you can run OBD0. Thus you can use the Zdyne Gold ECU that is programable on the fly. (the Hondata requires a new prom to be burned or emulater used during tuning) Another "bonus" of the Zdyne is that you can set it up so that it appears "unmodified".
Heck, I'd even go so far as to run the LS valve covers just so that they don't say VTEC on them. Although a Referee station would (should) be able to tell if the head is a VTEC or not, I'd bet that a smog check station wouldn't know.
If you used a Skunk2 intake manifold, it would also help in making an engine that "looks" like a stock LS.
