help please !!!!!!
dear all
im in deep trouble, i have an CIVIC SIR 99 the engine is B16A6 VTEC, now my engine is blown, and SIR engine is not available in my country and B18C is very expensive almost 3400$
, too much!!!!!
so i bought b20b 98 engine thinking that it will fix perfectly on my SIR but i was wrong. There is a late response on RPM 1000-3000, checked every related mechanical parts they works perfectly. The car is on its original Harness and ECU (b16a6), i know that i need to change the wiring harness but problem is , i couldnt find one which will fit!!!!!!
my main problem is wiring harness, the ecu if needed to be changed, it can be arranged (not difficult to find here).
So please guys is there is away i can modify the harness to make it fit? if not, which cars` or type of harness do you guys suggest?
heeeeeeeelp!!!!!!!
thanks in advance

Instead of bumping the thread you could have Googled the correct ECU for your engine. Stop being lazy.
And WHY would you need to change the wiring harness? It's obvious you;'re just making this up as you go.
You should also Google how to correctly perform this swap.

Get the correct ECU. You said yourself "the ecu if needed to be changed, it can be arranged (not difficult to find here)". Which is it? Parts are hard to find or parts are NOT hard to find?
In any case if we're talking about two different OBDs (which has me wondering how the car runs at all since we're going from 3 plugs to 4) in your area of the world all you should need is a step down harness. No modification of the engine harness should be needed.
If THOSE are not available in your area then you have A LOT of rewiring to do. Start looking for DIYs.
Advice? Before you just assume something is just going to install easily in your car, do some research. You could have saved yourself a lot of time and money.
Also, How is a B16 NOT available in your country but you managed to find a B20 and a B18?

yeah about the ECU!!!! 99 integra ls ECU is not available, what i have here in my hand are 93 integra ECU, 93 Del Sol ECU, and similar ECUs, and yes buddy it can be arranged and let me deal with that
I`m trying to find away to step down the OBD!! CANT YOU TELL YET?!!! either by changing the whole harness and ECU or finding an adapter
Yes i assumed that b20 will fit, but it didnt and now i have to deal with it, its history now
B16a6 and neither B16a5 are available at all!!!! the rest are rubbish!!!!!
why b20s are available??!! coz guys here are installing b20s on Del Sols, CRX 91, CIVIC 93-96
