Help needed....ls\vtec
Hello everyone
I'm new to this site, I've been reading up on the ls\vtec. I recently purched a 90 integra RS. I'm looking to do an Ls\vtec. I not eactly sure if this will work, or what I will need extra.
94 ls integra block (b18b)
97 type r head
OBD0 vtec comp....if i can find one...how good are chipped comp.
This is where I'm getting confused......can I use my 90 oem intake manifold and DC headers on the 97 itr head, do the bolt pattern match up. Also My vehicle is an OBD0, and I'm not sure if i sould keep it, or change it to OBD1. How difficult will this be. Sorry guys if this is all basic basic stuff. Would you guys know a good website for this. Thanks for you help and time.

Not that I know anything, but I just swapped my LS/Vtec out for another motor and I might be able to help.
If I'm not mistaken you'll have to convert to either OBDI or OBDII, I thought it was according to the head that yiou make the OBD conversion to.
Next you'll need an LS Vtec Conversion kit, I suggest the Golden eagle one (includes dowel pins, headgasket, oil feed line, sandwichplate, fittings for sandwich plate and head)
You'll need to do some rewiring and I think you might have to go with a diff. intake manifold not 100% sure which though, and the DC sports header I'm not 100% sure of either.
