Help.. JDM D15 VTEC in VX
hey, i just dropped a JDM D15 vtec in my VX and the thing wont start... I'm using the P07 ECU right now (funds are tight) and it's not throwing out any codes, and there is fuel pressure and spark. I tried the P08 IM at first since it doesn't have EGR and all the VX emission crap, but I couldn't hook up the EGR stuff (obviously) so i thought that might have been a problem.. so i switched to the P07 IM and hook everything up, but still nothing. I have researched all I can, but not too much info on the swap i'm doing. If anyone has ideas lemmie know. I've check timing, connections, everything I could think of... just throw out ideas, i need this car running. oh.. and the car does turn over and begin to start.. I can hear it start for a sec, but then dies.
thanks

no one has any ideas? swapped ECU and got new plugs, so that's not a problem.. engine is starting for a sec but sounds likes it's drowning/sputtering and dies..

all grounds correctly grounded?
anything slightly unplugged? double check your plugs on the distributor etc...
got enough fuel?
battery dead?

Re: Help.. JDM D15 VTEC in VX (Katman)

yes its possible.
You could have a layer of goop on the rotor or stators which isn't allowing spark to happen.
