HELP !! EG's with H22 WITH A/C problem
I have an EG with a 95 JDM H22 with A/C ... I have the HCP a/c bracket with my old SOHC compressor... 2 issues: 1-The damn thing squeels when I turn the car on and then goes away when I drive again... I have the Dayco 420K4 alternator and A/C belt that JDMshit.com recommended but it looks like that **** doesn't work... I went to H22hybrid.com and they recommended a 5050360 dayco belt (5 ribbed vs. 4) How about u guys... 2- When I turn on the a/c at a stop then it idles really low and the car wants to shut off... ? #1 - Kragen/pep boys, whatever - Use the 5040405 belt.
#2 - I've done 4-5 Civic/Integras with AC and they ALL have the rought idle when AC is on problem. I haven't figured out why yet but it's a fact of life with the H22 hybrids with AC.

Probably has something to do with the mounts? being aftermarket stiff ones?
...just my guess..

Re: HELP !! EG's with H22 WITH A/C problem (poison)
I think it has to do with the compressor being overdriven by the larger H22 crank pulley. Perhaps the extra RPMs and pressure are turning the compressor on and off (safety shut off maybe??) and loading/unloading the engine at idle which is screwing with the idle speed and causing the stall condition.
Something along those lines I think, but I can't quite figure it out yet . . .

Yea... took care of the squeeling today... just replaced the belt... But the A/C is still not working properly... When I turn the a/c on when the car is at idle it drops really low intot he rpms (from about 8-900 rpms to 2-300 and even shuts off at times) Do not know what it is... A/C blows cold and everything... When u start driving again when a/c is on then its fine... Keeping the a/c on and a steady idle is the problem

I know that this might be taken the wrong way, but have you ever thought of just taking the AC out completely? I was going to try and make it work, but then I realized that it just wasn't worth the trouble, even if you do have all the right parts.
Same goes for power steering. They told me that it was either one or the other, I told them to just rip both out.
