help d15b swap problem
Ok I just finished my JDM d15b swap into my 95 civic EX automatic. Everything went smooth except the d15b fuel rail leaked. So I replaced the d15b rail with the old one from my d16z6 along with the injectors from the d16. No the car doesn't run right at all. It has NO POWER at all in the low end but it screams on the top end. I literally have to hit the throttle half way to ge it to move. It seems to be more of a throttle response problem. I have no idea why it's doing this. It seems like a bog maybe almost like it's getting to much fuel. Are the d16 injectors too much for the d15b?? Help please!!!!
ok well it turned out that the problem was i kinda jacked the cam/crank timing when i installed the new belt.....no engine damage i don't think. The car ran good for a day after the cam timing was fixed but now it runs super rich and toggles back and forth between open and closed loop and gives me an IAC code(14). Tommorow I'm gonna sawp out the IAC for my old d16z6 one and see what happens but would a bad IAC really make my car run that rich?
ok, swapped IACs and now the code is gone and the car runs good. But After driving and getting the car to operating temp. I get a idle surge or hunt at idle (obviously) in Park. But not in drive when stopped at a stop light. Ideas anyone?
