With the obd2 ecu it looks for the secondary o2 sensor, with the obd1 ecu it only looks for the first o2 sensor, that's why it's not giving u the code with the obd1 one. Try checking the wires, make sure their going to the right ecu pinouts and check for connectivity, that should help u find ur problem.

hey honda parts /Are your obd2 o2 sensor harness already extended? Can i used it on my 96 ek with 97 gsr swap. Im pullling secondary o2 sensor cel code > maybe my wires are messd up when they extended them. Could i just used my secondary gsr o2 sensor heater plug and cut that and solder that into your harness you sell? What color are the 4 wires?

I can make it as long as you need, also if you buy the obd2 harness just make a note and instead of the harness I can just send you an extender harness for it, I just mailed one out for a guy yesterday
