Default Head Differences

I know there are fifty-million posts on the infamous Ls/Vtec swap, but what I don't see is why people choose the Vtec head they do. Why do most people choose The B16 head over the GSR B18C1? Or why not go out and get a B18C5? So what exactly is the difference between the three?

The b16 and type R head is basically the same, but those two flow very well stock.

The GSR head will bump up your compression a lil because of the shape of the combustion chamber.

That is the simple explination

Just thought I would update this post, I have decided to go with the PR3 due to the fact that the GSR has dual runners and my ECU even with my hondata upgrade can't support that. I'd rather just use the PR3 and not lose the average of 8HP between 5k and 8k. Thanks for the info guys.

well...you could ghetto rig the secondaries and keep them open 24/7...or get a skunk2 manifold which is basically a type r replica for a GSR head. But a pr3 head will do the job

Yeah I'm just gonna get the S2 Pro Series. All my springs and retainers I ordered are skunk2 along with the cams and cam gears.
