Default H2b dizzy help

Hey guys so I just bought a eg hatch with an h2b swap in it. and its dropping a cyp code for the distributor. Its a JDM h22, so it originally had an internal coil, but it has an msd coil. so i was curious if i can use a external coil dizzy with the msd coil.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
