H2B DA's?
I havn't seen the H2B swap in a DA yet, anybody have experience with this?
I've been contemplating this swap lately, except I would be using a f20b.
Any advice? pics..writeups..clearance issues?
What problems did you run into and what did you do to resolve them?
Thanks.
p.s. I hear that there is now an H2B kit that allows you to run stock hood clearances. Is it made by Quartersports ? If so, do they have a DA application?

Re: H2B DA's? (t . b o z)
bump for answers!
I've sifted through the current h2b threads, it helps to read and learn about things like the alternator issue, and balance shafts..etc..etc.. It doesn't really help me with wiring or clearance issues specific for my car. Any help would be appreciated for the DA chassis!
Also, are there any added benefits to the f20b? I hear that the rods are better, and the head flows better than the h22, any proof behind this? Does it have the balance shafts too?

Look at the archived searches. The H2B concept was conceived in a DA.
Wiring isn't so much H2B specific. Again, pull some seaches from the archives on "H22 wiring". There is a ton of specific information here to use... you just gotta find it.

Re: (harlen)
My main concern is with the hood clearance. I see a lot of dc and eg chassis guys running no hood spacers at all, and Im assuming they have the evolution h2b kit..
Is it possible to run that kit, using DA mounts, and obtain the same clearance for the hood? Keeping in mind that I will definitely move the map sensor to the firewall(stock location anyway).
Im not a huge fan of the hood spacing, especially with the QSD's recommendation of 1.5". I wouldn't mind a bit under an inch, but IMO, 1.5" ruins the naturally secksi lines of the DA
p.s. I think Im just going to go pain free and purchase a rywire harness for 90-91 Integra with a H22. Ill probably purchase an extra DA harness, to a.) reduce vehicle downtime and b.) allow the option to put a B-series back in the car if Im not satisfied with the H2b swap.
I'm really excited about this swap! Its preety original, especially in my neck of the woods, where everyone either goes all motor B, or turbo B.

It's not a recommendation, its what you have to do to make it work. The only way your gonna get the hood to close is to lower the engine/tranny. Not an approach were gonna take.

That's is a very true statement for the most part. If all of that is true then me buying a 92 integra GSR was pointless from the start. There's a big reason why I chose 92 integra instead of a lets say 92 civic or 94 integra.
For that person who doesn't want to stick out in the crowd, is there a possibility at all to keep the hood shut or having the heighth of the hood raised to a bare minimum.
Now both kits QSD and Evo kit looks like really quality parts. but the EVO kit allows you to shut the hood fully with bare minimal modifications. but one problem they don't make it for the DA chassis.
Now after that is said. Is it possible to run the EVO kit with QSD driver side mount and bracket kit? Since 1 QSD has a bracket/mount conversion for the DA and 2 EVO has the kit that allows for a fully closed hood.
I'm not sure if that's possible but it's worth a try right?

you'll need to run some dub's to keep the oil pan off the ground.
