JDM H23A Vtec (blue top)

10.6-1 compression same as jdm H22A
It has a jdm h22a head on it
Has the same horsepower or even tad bit lower then the jdm h22a
refering it to my near stock jdm h22a 158 ft lbs of torque at 3200 rpm and I am sure it would be less then 5 ft lbs of torque difference
It wasn't enough of a power difference to get me to shell out the extra G
The jdm h22a has better power capibilites and you can take it to higher rpms and just the straight reliability.

What's the difference? 95mm stroke, probably smaller bore. Same FRM sleeves?

So then what's the difference between this motor and a stroked h22? Nothing, so throw an H23 crank in an H22 and call it a day.

What the hell makes one motor so much better than the other?

the only difference I see is maybe better weights on the crank and good location of the squirters...
