I assume you mean the starter was tested outside the car? Does it engage and spin when attached to the tranny? If it doesn't, I would start by making sure you're getting power to the starter. If you are, check the signal wire to see if you're getting signal to it when you turn the key.

Well if the starter is engaging when mounted ot the tranny, the signal isn't the problem.

I'm assuming it's a 5 speed? Pull the flywheel guard and look at the flywheel while cranking the car. The flywheel should spin. If it doesn't, you have starter engagement issues. If it does, you're either having a fuel or spark issue, and we can get to those later.

Just for clarity sake, are you using the full H22A with transmission, or are you using an H2B setup?

Using a 5 speed h22 transmission as well. Motor is a 97, trans is out of a 95. I'll see if my flywheel moves at all, while we try an crank. I moved the flywheel a little through the crank bolt I heard it click and engage the starter but still nothing.

Flywheel is not spinning at crank. So Im guessing im not getting power to the starter properly?

Either you aren't getting power to the starter, or it isn't engaging. When you turn the key, do you hear the starter spinning? If you do, then the starter gear isn't engaging and you need to replace it. If you don't, you either A) aren't getting power to the starter, or B) you aren't getting power on the signal wire.

Start off with the simple thing first - Test the battery. If it checks out, read on.

First, make sure your power wire from battery to fuse box, and then from your fuse box to starter are both connected and in good condition. If they are, get a voltmeter and test to see if you're getting power to the wire at the starter with the key on. If that all checks out, put the voltmeter to the signal wire on the starter and have a friend try to start the car - you should get power to the signal wire with the key turned to crank the car. If you're getting power on the main cable, as well as the signal cable, but don't hear the starter whirring up, you need to check your grounds.

After you've done some diagnoses, maybe we can help figure this out.

Battery is good, the male connecter on the starter is fine and not loose.

Jbpnoman- I got my voltmeter and tested the wire from the battery to fuse box, that checked out fine, I tested the signal wire while my buddy was cranking that checked out like you said and Im getting power. Then I tested the main wire connecting to the starter and im getting no power or voltage reading. I think you found the problem.

Check your kick panel for fuse, might be a bad hardness
