h22a ecu
I just got a 2000 H22A. The ecu has an imobilizer. How can I take it off? OR can I use a previous year ECU without the immobilizer? Thanks for all the info!

The 1996 Prelude VTEC ECU is OBDII, and has no immobilizer.
However it is for the H22A1 engine (92-96), which has larger injectors...so you mayt need to bump the fuel pressure to get to the same flow with the H22A4 (97-01) injectors

ya.. alll 97-01 prelude ecus have immobilizer, u either have to get a 96 obd2 ecu or a 93-95 p13 0bd1. the p13 would be better though. a lil more power.

I am running an OBD2 P13 on my 99 H22a4 and it runs really nice......and thats without tuning. The only prob is that the 99 civic doesnt have a purge flow switch that the 96 p13 looks for....so you will get a cel after two drive cycles...and your car will run like crap for a minute after you fill it with gas (dont know why but thats what mine did) The "purge flow switch" is only 70 bucks.....and is only 2 wires...so its no biggie....
