H22a 4 Into 97 LS
I have a h22a4 with 160 k on it , I plan on having it rebuilt , but am not sure exactly where to go from here , I already have a 97 gsr w/ a 95 b18c1 with obd1 cpu, plus tons of mods. and a 97 prelude with a jdm h22a w/ lsd , and now I have got an ls shell and a motor . Cant' decide which car to put a turbo kit on. should I rebuild the old h22a add a turbo and stick it in the ls shell or should I throw the motor in the shell and get rid of it ,then turbo the jdm h22 prelude?
any ideas welcome
im swamped by all the possibilities!
my goal is to have a 250 hp daily driver. what psi can you boost an h22 on stock internals.
what type of rebuild would allow me to push more psi?

Re: H22a 4 Into 97 LS (Bseries421)
its safe to boost from 5-8 PSI on stock internals on an H.
Anything after that and parts start flying. Make sure you have it tuned properly.
If you wanted to push more psi, you need to sleeve the block, and basicaly build the bottom end. Rods, pistons, etc. lower your compression from your jdm 11:1 and try to hit low 10 or 9. Just research your decision, and youll see all that is needed.

i like gsr's.. so keep it. (can be ur daily driver)
as for the other stuff...
-keep the jdm h22a w/lsd.
-put the h22a4 in to the 97 lude.. (thats where it goes anyway) then-- SALE IT
-if u got another motor, stick it in the ls. ----------------------------------SALE IT TOO
-buy a civic shell, and put a turbo jdm h22a/w lsd in it.

Thanks - I do have a bit more research to do before I make any final choices.
I think I am going to sell both of the integra's and focus mostly on the prelude- it 's got all of the jdm **** in it, and I've been driving GSR's for a while now. I figure it's time for a change... the blue one is all aem, greddy,skunk2,dcsports,msd,apexi,tockico, etc it's about as good as it gets for being n/a except for cams, throttle body, fuel rail/ injectors w/ reg( thats all It needs ) itll be at autovations 2004 check it out.
And The red one will just get swapped and sold - 2oo hp stock teg anybody????
But anyways does a Turbo 97 Prelude W/ JDM H22a and LSD sound like a decent ride to anybody ?because thats what I'm leaning twords.
