Default h22 vtec point

i was curious to what everybody's vtec engages with a jdm h22. Mine is set at 5000-5200 with a jdm auto p13. is that were the vtec is set at on the factory ecu. Do you think it would be a good idea to get it chipped. it pulls hella hard. So i dont know if that would help me much with a chipped ecu and lower vtec settings.

Mine seemed to kick in somewhere a little after 5K or so....when it worked

5100-5200 sounds just right.
