Default h22 questions

Ok Ive preety much decided to get my h22 from hmotorsonline. Anyone think thats a bad idea please tell me? Also is there anyway to tell what year model the motor is once I get it? Will my greddy exhaust I have now with my 95 honda accord f22b1 fit? Any suggesstions or info I can write down to prepare me for the swap? Does anyone know whas the average time this could take to do? Also should I spring the extra 300$ for a LSD transmission oh yeah Im getting automatic tranny too.

No the exhaust will not fit right up you will have to mod it. You can tell teh year from a stamp on the front of the head.

Also where they say the motors only have 30k to 50k miles to do the strict laws in Japan is that true. Do these places give you any kind of gaurentee they leak and compression test them?

Most of the motor come off a clip which still has a cluster with the km on the car but from what I know 40,000 you need a new motor. I dont think they do any kind of tests to mske sure it ok.

When I talked to Steve at hmotorsonline he said they do full compression test and leakdown. Do they lie I could have swore I read it on there site. But now I cant find it. Is this a bad idea to spend 2300 for a h22 and tranny and Ecu. Where did u get yours at Trix

Through a buddy of mine. Maybe they do but I would not trust anyone on that unless they did it in front of me.

I just ordered my h22 complete swap from hmotorsonline on Monday. I'm pretty confident everything will be good. I sprung for the lsd and from what I'm told I'll be happy I did. You may not need it as much on an accord because of power to weight ratio. I would recommend it though.

It should be here next wednesday... pm me around that time and I'll let you know how it came in.

And from the experienced guy I'm doing the swap with, turbogixxer, for my civic it can take anywhere between 1 and 3 days. If no problems then 1, if many then 3.

1-2 days. It is a easy swap, if you have all the info you need.

anyone bought from this place? I have a 95 Accord so I would want a 92-96 H22 right for the OBD1?
