The p28 is optimized for a 1.6L sohc vtec motor.... its not goign to run your h22a nearly how it was intended... nor will the p72, because its for a GSR. Did you not get a p13 with your swap?

B-series fuel maps and timing curves are different from a H-series ECU. Unless you have a program specifically for the P28 ECU with H22A settings (we have a couple that we're playing with right now), it's going to feel like *** when you drive and have no torque in the mid-range area... similar to if you just throw in a Mugen B-series chip into a P28 ECU.

i've heard that on the h22 if u use either a p28 or p72, regardless of which, u have to get them remapped to run the h22...
however.
a p28 remapped for h22 is good, but u have no secondary control...
and on the other hand
a p72 has secondary control, but still needs to be remapped for the h22. so i say... if ur not gonna use the p13... remapp a p72.

When I had my P13 chipped a while ago, I ran a stock P28 and it ran like total ***.

yeah the 72 will have the secondaires

unless your running a venom or manifold that doesnt have them a p28 will run like ***,

only way is to get the ecu chipped with the h22 base

fuel setups are way different

Its funny that you guys mention this. I have a stock p28 now in the car and to me not only is it smoother than the program I had before but it really feels nice. I dunno if I got a special p28 but its not chipped at all but the car rips..

And I think my O2 sensor is going, so once I have that replaced I will test it out again.. So far two kills with the current setup although they were really no match for me.. This weekend I will run a Vr6, BMW, and maybe an LS-vtech to compare..

Ya, it pulls harder WAAAAAAAAAAAY up high in the rpm band.. If you took your h22dx, with your p72, lined up with another h22dx with a p13, ALLL things being totally equally, you would get pulled on by the p13 equipped car...

Import builders did a back to back dyno run with the two ecus... P72 sucked...

ill try and find the articl.. HOLD PLEASE

ahhh, its importreview. Here is the link to the two ecu comparison http://www.importreview.com/re....html
