Icon6 H22 issues

Well first off let me start off by saying I am not new to this site I have been a member for close to 9 years but no longer can login onto my account. Any how I just got back into the Honda Scene after getting married having kids and doing the family thing I wanted a toy to play with so I purchased a hatchback. Here is the question/issue I just swapped H22 or should I say paid to swap H22 in my ek hatch and I had all seals, head gasket, water pump pretty much everything replaced before installing. Here is the issue just got the car back everything so far looks good but on initial start there is no smoke coming out from exhaust then after about 2 min white smoke starts to come out not a lot but enough to make notice. My question is after looking over threads some say head gasket others say valve seals my question how is that possible is everything was just replaced could mechanic not have replaced seal and ripped me off or placed head gasket on wrong and caused a issue.

Why not do a compression test? They are cheap to buy if you do not already own one.

white smoke is coolant burning, the most common cause of this, improperly installed head gasket. did u resurface the head before re-installing it with new gasket?

To deucedeuceek I guess I will go out and buy one and check it out.

To Efilliated Yes I had it milled/resurfaced and cleaned of anything. I guess will start with compression test then check headgasket.

Rich would be black smoke. White is no bueno. I had a gsr once that was 230-235 accross and somehow blew smoke and had coolant in the oil.

running rich would smell like gas and be black. Maybe check for over heating and mixed oil with coolant. Either of these would probably mean the HG is not sealing.
