Re: h22 integra? (coreyslude)
I'm not exactly sure, but based off of my times (slightly under integra weight) you should be mid 14s.

I damn near lost a friend because he was all about h22 swaps and i told him that they were a bad idea. In talking to people like alan from aj racing who had an h22 in his civic he said it was the worst thing he had done and put a b18c1 block with a type r head in as a replacement. He actually tracked his car and he can tell you what a horrible idea it was. It is fast in a straight line however, but id rather a b over an h anyday. If you feel necessary to do a swap do a k series

I couldn't agree more. My buddy had a 92 vx and he put an h22a in it. i/h/e he was running mid 13s. He had the car for 4 months after he put the motor in it. When he pulled the motor the body was torqued to ****. I swear the passenger side fender looked like it was 3 inches higher then the d/s. And yes the ride height was equal all the way around.

Obviously none of you have ever owned one. ******* retards. Misinformation. Woooooohooooo! ****, don't buy one, it'll keep the long block prices at $1200. I'll make more power and pass you on any road track you'd like.

You sir, are stupid to even think that the 163lb-ft of torque that an i/h/e h22 would torque the body of a civic. I'd like to know how the people who turbo and end up with 250+lb/ft of torque keep their cares from simply ripping themselves in half.
Wow, this place is going to ****, and fast.

no blood, no foul.
seriously though, the level of ignorance is about the same as it was when I did my first H swap back in '02. I think people just **** up their cars and scream "H series sucks!" to cover up their mistakes.

Re: h22 integra? (dreamer)
I just did this whole swap and I think it was well worth it. Before this motor I had a 200whp/141wtq GSR motor and I put down better power with this stock h22 swap. I'll be starting a thread here in the hybrid forum with pictures, dyno plot, and 1/4 mile time slips. It would have been allot more difficult without of HT members.

It actually put down 199whp and 165wtq. The tq was the increase I was refering to. Nevertheless I'll get a thread put together.

Re: h22 integra? (skunked)
ok im not even going to argue this because its the internet and who cares if you believe me or not. However i will say this, H series are fast for drag cars, but if you want to autocross which is my motivation for building a car, according to someone who did it, it has a lot of understeer and was swapped for a b series. This was the yellow hatch from aj-racing. Alan didn't just say it understeered, he had it on the track it it had understeer, simple as that, unless you have tracked the car, how can you dispute someone else who has? As for sword fighting, we are buddies who feel the same way about a topic, so everyone who are guys that like b series over an h are sword fighters? But im on the internet, you would never say that if we were face to face, unless you have really bad manners.
