Default H22 Intake Secondaries???

I searched, cannot find what I am looking for? Maybe you guys can help. My buddy has a JDM H22 in his 93 Accord... He cannot get his secondaries to work. He is currently running the JDN ECU, but is switching over to the USDM P13 soon. Is the secondary system similar to the GSR system.. What do I have to look for. Can I hard wire it to act with Vtec activation. I havent seen under the hood yet, but from what he says it may be a problem with the vacuum box. Can the box be bypassed? After some of these answers i will dig into the car. I do not think that there is a wiring problem... Thanks

To wire it up properly. Yes it is like the OBD1 GSR IAB configuation.

I believe it needs a power souce at the connector (which is yel/blk) or A25 pinout. And the other wire goes to A17.

Yes it can be bypassed. Simply put the vacuum line on the IAB valve, and put it directly on the side of the intake manifold like this. Some people like it, some people do not. I, personally, like it since IAB was a pain in my *** to wire up.

HTH.

I use to have the IAB wired to a relay which would open @ VTEC's RPM, however I noticed a slight hesitation between 4-5k RPM and since the IAB are suppose to open @ 4-4.4K rpms I attributed the bog to the IAB not opening when they should. Right now I run them open all the time and its fine for me.

I stillwouldn't mind having them wired up properly

But I took off my IAB box and all that a while ago anyway. Oh well.

ITB's on the way.

aren't you boosting fastwanabe?
