I dont know. Either way its the same. I could car less cause I know my car is tuned well, and I dont have to worry about knocking. Even if you use the p72 & hook up the butterflies in the intake it wont work right cause it comes on too late for the H22 which would kill vtec some...
If I could get a p30 (del sol dohc vtec) then I would. Just to have the knock, but I couldnt get one for a steal. So **** it..

I cant remember exactly, but I know that the butterflies wont open at the right time anyway. So its gonna mess with vtec changeover & everything.

No the p28 has nothing to control the IAB.
IMO the IAB's are over-rated. If you really think about it. When you race someone your gonna launch at like what 4000 or so. The IAB's will be about ready to open then anyway. So I would just take them out & not worry about it, or hook up a vacuum line to the iab control, and leave it alone. That way it would open at WOT.

P28 w/S200 setup. Running modified Type S settings and it runs great. No IAB settings on it but we removed the butterfly stack from the intake manifold so top end power feels really good. I've given a couple of other HT members the same program that I'm running and they said they like it alot on their H22A Civics.

can you give me more info on the removal of the iab's? are you a hondata dealer?

dont u lose torque when u take the buterflys out i think u do cause my friend has a gsr and he took them out and he said that it feels like it has less torque im not sure if its the same on h22 as it is with gsr

I recall looking at a dyno chart somewhere that with the p72 you will lose some bottom end power but gain top end power. And with the p28 will have more bottom end power but lose a little power up top compared to the p72.

Sure, you lose some low end torque, but on a H22A motor in a lighter Civic chassis, it's almost negligible and not even noticable. Maybe so on a 1.8L but not on the 2.2
