h22 eg -dss level 2 problem-
Just got my swap in , and my dss level 2 hybrid axle (passenger side) seems to be too long.I cannot lower the car too much , cuz I get real bad vibrations, any time I hit bumps . I was just curious to know if anyone has had this same problem. My setup is hcp mounts, jdm h22 in a 93 hatch...... I remember a few threads back in the day that resembled my problem, but cannot find the thread.......any comments will be appreciated................
Does the inner cv joint go into the tranny and lock in just fine? And does the factory damper fork clear the axle shaft then the car is lowered?
I would contact DSS about the problem.

The fitment on the axle seems to be fine , no leaks so far and the joint mounted good,it's just when the car is lowered and I hit bumps I get sick vibrations ........I dont know what it is ,but I just got them in. When I raise the car like 2" it seems to be fine . I will contact dss first thing ......I just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone.............Thanks
Yep, I have seen it happen before around here. There are several others on the board that have this problem.
I would contact Frank at DSS on the issue.

Yep, Had the same problem with my stage one hybrids. Actually the bar they used for my passenger side axel was just a tad too long. Contacted Frank at DSS... sent a new one 3 day air. Then had UPS pick up the old axel the next day.
Great customer service and handled the problem very quickly.

hmmm i guess this would be the place to ask about opinions on using the stage 1 hybrid axles on an ek/h22a with hondata and nitrous, most likely a 75 shot.
the nitrous may be set up as a wet system with alcohol injection on the nitrous and a progressive box, just have to talk with dale about the hondata being able to control a wet system, being as the site indicates it only controls a dry shot

Frank @ DSS knows about the problem. Same thing happened to me with my stage 5's. He said that HCP took the measurements and that's what he sends out. Every once in a while he'll get a call where the passenger side is too long. Try this: take off your spindle nuts and push the axles into the hub. The splines should move about half an inch. I bet you won't have any movement on the passenger side. Just give him a call. He sent a new one right out to me. Great customer service.

Yup, thats exactly what he told me to do the first time I called him. I had absolutely no slack. The axel would not even move just a little bit. Called him back and sent the new axel out right away. Frank cares about his customers.
