H22 ecu question
I'm a bit of a newbie but I've been reading up a lot in hopes of learning. I'm lookin into doin an h22 swap into a 4th gen accord. My question is from what I'm gathering i can't just swap a jdm h22 into an accord using the stock ecu from the H22 (with all the other parts aside) and expect it to pass US emissions and what not. What kind of tuning would I need to do to make it pass emissions. And if someone could take a little bit of time maybe and explain to me the difference between OBD0 OBD1 and OBD2 it would be much appreciated. THANKS

Re: H22 ecu question (Chapmaster)
Is there a reason no one can answer this? I'd think it would be simple as **** question for most people hear. If there's something in the way the question is worded thats wrong or stupid correct me or at least point me in the right direction to look. I realize my experience is nil pretty much but my intentions are good.
thanks
thanks

well the ecu doen't have much to do with emissions. it is your exhaust. if you have no cats then you have no chance in hell of passing. if you have your stock cat on you will most likly pass however if you put in the h22 you might have asize issue like i did on my 5th gen accord. however if you have friend at a shop that can weld you can weld in some cats just for emmitions and then take them back off after you pass the diffrence between odb1 and odb2 is that the odb2 is newwer motors and has 2 o2 sensors insted of one on the odb1 odb 0 i am not sure about. odb1 is 92-95 motors and the odb 2 is 96-01 (i belive but could be wrong on those years). oh yeah and don't stress when noone answers you questions in an hour and a half. i know this is an active board but damn dood.

Re: H22 ecu question (Chapmaster)
The motor must be same year or newer than car. That means no running an OBDI motor in an OBDII car.
