Default H22 automatic

Hello guys. I was given a honda civic 1997 lx automatic trans as a gift and I want to change the engine. I was recently offered a H22 engine but I'm not sure if it will bolt up to the trans. I need help as I know that b series like the b16 and b18c often have problems bolting up to an automatic trans. Please help me thank you!

Definitely H series engine won't bolt onto a d-series automatic transmission.

If you want to go with the h22, go with complete manual setup. H-series or f-series manual tranny will bolt. There are kits for engine mounts and a lot of info on wire harness, ECU, etc.

Also you can do an H2B which is the h22 with a b-series tranny. That will cost more and requiere a kit and mods

I read up on some people who did the swap and from what I read is that it bolts up really easily. On the other hand the *** kicker about it is that the wiring is hard *** hell. I really don't wanna make it manual since my sister and my mom often borrow my car.
