Default gsr bottom end?

well as my sig. says, ive got a b16a, but as everyone knows, they've got no torque. i was wondering how difficult it was to swap a gsr bottom end in, and if it was worth it? thanks for the help.

its a good idea to keep your b16 pistons to have higher compression.
poor man's type r is a nice setup.

so you're saying i should keep things how they are, but the poor man's type r is nice? i dont follow. how would my b16 pistons fit a gsr? i was thinking about getting some itr pistons, or some arias high compression pistons. anyways, thanks for the help kamin.

def worth it....he was refering to putting your b16 pistons in the gsr block which will yeild higher compression than the gsr pistons...you will actually lower compression if you use the gsr pistons.

but if you are goin to buy arias pistons anyways then it doesnt matter

So how much more compression are we talking about with the B16 pistons in the gsr block?

you are talking 11.42:1 compression with the b16 pistons. If he keeps the gsr pistons he is only at 10.04:1.

http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...c/compcalc.php

very nice tool there.

I'm planing on doing the same set up (poor man's type-r) with boost, but I can't find a gsr shortblock. Good luck

Yep doing the same thing, B16 head w/GSR guts, on a GSR block, and 12psi. We should keep in touch
