Fuel Pump Question
I have a 93 CX HB,and i put a GSR swap in it. Things seemed to be fine for a while. Now when i get around 7-8k rpm it kinda loses power than it comes back real quick. I was thinking maybe it's a fuel delivery problem. I was wondeing if the stock CX Fuel pump was big enough to supply the GSR ? Anyway to test if it's putting enough fuel out ?
I had the same prob in my 93 CX with a 94 GSR, I was racing my friend in the new ugly civic SI minivan looking thing, I used to smoke him all the time, then we started getting close, and he beat me
Long story short, replace the fuel pump and you will be all set
I used a walbro 190/hr pump that worked great, only about 80 bucks and an easy install

get an A/F ratio gauge to see whats going on. If you are leaning out up top, upgrade the pump to the one that was mentioned or a GSR or ITR one and you will be fine

yea i would use a a/f guage to see if you are dropping off...
not to hijack your thread but i have a question similar... do i need to replace the fuel filter when replace my fuel pump to a 255 lph pump? and do i buy one for a h22 or a civic? (i have an h22 hatch)
I'm kinda confused on that sorry for the noob question.. this is my first swap so I'm still learning

I'm need to get a FPR when i get the 190 right ? It seems to pull fine upto 7k or so than after that it kinda just dosen't pull. Seemed like it just started to happen the other day. I changed the fuel filter thinking that might be it and no luck.

I used a jdm itr pump I got for cheap, dunno the specs but it worked like a charm night+day diff between my 93 si pump and the 98 itr pump.
You can use an adjustable FPR but adding too much pressure can be a bad thing also (Make sure you get the gauge when doing that). I had mines a lil bit above the stock pressure, works fine.
Also, the stock o2 sensor will read lean/stoich-normal/rich but it won't exactly specify how rich or how lean - I could go on about getting a wideband o2 sensor to check the a/f properly and get ur ecu remapped for it, but for relatively stock engine with some bolt-ons and you want to have fun with, just get a stock pump from the 'teg and do a tuneup check ur timing if u wanna. Once you have the thing running sweet in stock (or close to) form then upgrade from there. Simple and effective. This game is only fun untill you spend $$$ on things you don't need.
So, grab the 'teg pump (the cx one is probably tired anyways), FPR would be optional and get some ngk plugs and a tuneup and she should rip that EP3 a new a-hole. Hope that helps some.

lol, you buy the one for the civic goofy, why would you buy a lude pump? Yes, a 255 for a civic.
