FOUND - magical VTEC wire...
swap was completed about a month ago, still waiting for her to be registered though...
one issue was the code 17 VSS problem. the ECU requires a signal that the car is going over 20mph before VTEC kicks in.
cause my car is an 83 model Prelude i needed to get the signal from the dash console, which uses an optical sensor to determine road speed which then transforms the signal into a square wave type...
anyways! on the back of the cluster there is a little circut that does this and an output is the blue wire marked SP, i hooked up the VSS wire to this output and took it for a test drive...
3000, 4000 - bang!!! she opened up and the intake noise was amazing!
the push in the back was the best! a grin from ear to ear :D
just thought id share this with you guys...
ive got VTEC!!!

edit - ok now that i saw it -
i want one too - it musta been very difficult to get the motor to mount properly huh? all you need are some ITR cams and some dyno time to dial it in

according to Honda - 955kg or 2100lbs
ive removed all the A/C, the ALB and replaced an iron block with a alloy one...
so it could be as little as 900kg or less than 2000lbs??? not sure.
but its not heavy by any measure.
