Default Fixing a h22 eg

How hard is it to fix and do regular tune ups for this. Is there enought room to fix everything or most everything without pulling the motor. I heard its a pain to work on with the motor in the car. I know to change the t-belt and water pump before the swap anything else. Thanks

Uhh, where did you hear this from? Whoever stated that doesn't know what they are talking about.

It's the same for any motor. Period.

Exactly Poison. Timing belt and everything is just like any other car. Tuneups are just as easy, actually, I think it is easier doing a valve adjustment in my hatch than in a Prelude because of the way the motor sits. The only thing that is a pain is the intake manifold. I think the only way I will be able to change mine is either by unbolting the rear mount and jacking up the motor or pulling it out. But I haven't tried yet so I don't know. As for everything else, its easy cheesy.

Trust me, working on a motor in a Civic engine bay is MUCH easier than in a Prelude engine bay! The Prelude engine bay is just so BIG compared to a Civic, you have to really lean over and stretch to get at some points. As for the Civic, it's all within arms reach.

I realized how much bigger the front end is when I was washing my cars. The Civic, I can wipe the hood from the front. As for the Prelude (4G), I had to hit it from the sides and front to cover the whole hood.

Correct. Remove the radiator, take out the bolts for the rear tranny bracket, remove the bolt to the rear mount, unhook the exhaust, and unbolt the passenger side mount and let the motor drop down (while the driver side mount is still in place) and the trany will slide right out. Usually takes 30 min or less if you're fast.... took us 10 minutes this past weekend to unhook everything and drop the tranny cause we were pissed and did it fast (damn cheapass throwout bearings )
