Hello everyone!! I'm Mark and new to the board as you can tell. I've been residing over at Honda-Acura.net for awhile and decided to mozy on over here for a few quick questions.

I own a 95 Civic DX 5 spd and I recently purchased a B18B motor swap but it came with an auto tranny I have everything that is needed for the swap but I'm looking to put in a manual B18B tranny. I know the ECU will work, just cut out resistor RP17 that way it wont be looking for the auto tranny and I know that the axles will work Now my question is, I have the halfshaft that came with the auto tranny and I was wondering if that halfshaft will work with the manual tranny?? I've heard both stories, some say it will work and some say that it will work. I'm confused.

I also checked on Autozone and Advance Auto Parts website(local parts shop) and when I check to see about a halfshaft, it doesnt ask whether its a manual or automatic which adds to confusion.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated!!

the half shaft will not work. GL With your swap!

 

Oh and the rear mount that came with the engine wont work either, its too short!
