Default F20B what is this thing?

Hey all. I've got an F20B engine swap sitting here and I'm wondering what this thing is on the transmission. It's a manual trans. The plug I would assume is the speed sensor but what are the fluid lines coming in and out of it?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I figured it was the speed sensor but what do the fluid tubes go to?

atleast on the Tegs the 2 lines go to the power steering rack...when I did my LS Swap since I don't have power steering I just put some power steering fluid in the VSS and loop the hose from one to the other...figured it might be there to lubricate it...but I know people that run without anything like that

its for the power steering. it like a active control. ever noticed while at highway speeds the steering gets a tad stiff?

BTW i have also looped the lines, when i took my P/S system out of my car.
