Default engine swap problems

i just swapped a 1992 civic si in to my 1990 civic dx, and when i try to start the engine, it wont start... the motor turns but it wont catch, I checked the timing belt and its perfect, so i have no idea what else it could be... im still using the distributor from the 1990 dx engine, could this be why, please help me out, thanks

How did you do the wiring? You know the new engine requires 4 injectors and your car only has 2, right? Also, you'll need an 88-91 Si distributor if you wired for 4 injectors, if you used your intake manifold and stayed with 2 injectors, use the DX distributor.
