Default Engine harness question

I'm going to be getting a swap very soon. I am looking at a JDM B16A2 complete swap. I own a '96 civic dx hatch. My question is, can I just use the wiring harness that comes with the engine and put it straight into the engine bay and plug everything in, or do I have to cut plugs off of the B16A2 harness and put them on my DX harness?

I used search first, but couldn't find anything.

Modify your stock DX harness.

That would be the easiest thing to do if you don't mind spending the $ on the EX harness. If not, the stock harness will work with the addition of the VTEC wiring and knock sensor. You can't use the harness that comes with the motor other than using it for extra plugs and wire.

there's a JDM b16a2? Or is that the same as a B16 SiR2 motor? Cuz someone told me that I would have to get the obd1 to obd2 harness conversion to do that swap. I have the same car and wanted the b16 SiR2 motor and mentioned nothing about the add wires with stock harness etc stuff. Can anyone clear this up for me?
