the choice is really what do you want out of the motor, and dont say 400whp is your only goal......

funny how every single person who does a swap says they want to go the c5 route, and very few of the many many actually do...surprise me man, do the c5 swap!

Do H2B, you'll be very satisfied...depending on what you want of course

I agree... you need to think about that you plan on doing with your motor in the future... i.e. I've got a JDM-B18C-TypeR and am lovin' it ‘cause it's all motor and N/A. If that's what you think you want then go with the C5. If you think that in the future you'd like to go turbo, then go with something with a little less compression so that you don't have to worry as much about blowing it... at the end of the day it's really what you plan on doing with the car. There are alot of options out there i would suggest that you plan out what you'd like to accomplish and go from there. Depending on what your goals are will help decide what motor you can run. Take into consideration also if it's going to be a daily driver or not.

Turbo H2B. Cheaper alternative, rebuild head and go B20 block with low compression pistons and boost.

the amount of stuff u have to do for the h2b, i know u didnt say it but ima say it, k series is just as expensive as an h2b swap and u have better power gains considering its a more reliable and much stronger motor. I was looking into doing the h2b and then as soon as i realized a k swap is pretty much as easy as swaping a B in but w/ more power my mind was made

a k for the same price as an h2b? i already have a b series tranny and i could get a jdm h22 with no tranny for like 1500, then i still have to buy mounts and so on for both? and as for what im planning on doing with it, i just want a strong reliable running setup, no boost or nothing, just strong power and it will be a dd

try bolt ons with the B16 like supercharger or B18C and some good internals , a K series would really do well.

are you serious?? you have to notch the frame rail for the crank pulley and shave to block a little bit and thats it. where are you getting your crackhead prices of a h2b being as expensive as a k series? you my freind need to do some research

The H2B will have torque up the ***, you'll end up paying more for the ITR in the long run.

You can put the LSD into a B trans (such as the ITR or ur SiR) and slap that on an H. H2B = Win.

I wanted to go H2B. It was going to be my DD. I just wanted a stock H22 with my b series tranny. Instead ran into some money issues. H2B is alot cheaper than a K swap. Plus for a DD you can have someone run A/C for the H2B. You cant do that with a K swap

Rebuild the B and turbo it. The b16 is a great motor and you already own it or get a b20 or b18 block like someone else stated. You already have a great motor why get rid of it, maybe the block but never the whole setup.

cause man, i don't want to go the turbo route, it would cut out to much reliablilty for me, at least an h2b will be basically stock honda minus a few bolt ons,and my b16 is constantly burning oil, seems to run like ****, so i just wanna start fresh.. as for the lsd, i have a spoon limited slip in my b16 tranny, so that would help with the low gearing and high torque of the h22
