Ok guy and gals I am in the final stages of prep for the swap and after months of waiting all i need to swap the b20 into my 97 dx hatch is the si mounts. Well the drivers upper bracket and the rear tranny mounts are a no brainer,but the ac mount is wher i get confused. I want to keep the ac and not have to discharge it in the swap. I go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and find the si has a difrent manufacture for the ac compressor then my dx and so dose the 97 del sol dx, but the ac/moter mount is the same part number for the si and delsol????? Anybody who hase done a b swap into a 97 civic and kept the ac with one of mounts listed above help me out. I donot have the $$ to buy the 100$ mount to find it dosent work with my compressor that would be a kick in the dick at this point. In my investigation I called a local parts store and got them to cross referance a 97 del sol vtec and a 97 civic replacment ac compressor, and the part # matched but i have run into problems with there data bases messing up. So at this point i need info on this ac mount

some one know if the si/del sol bracket will fit need to know. Some one come on off the info please

 

Never have done this swap and kept A/C but any 94+ Teg A/C mount will work, so will Del Sol, and 99-2000 Si... Good Luck

 

Get the AC mount that has P54 stamped on it. It is a 94-97 del sol vtec or 99 civic si ac bracket.

 

97HB are you using ac bracket from 99-00 si/ del sol vtec. See you got a B18 swap so these swaps are about the same thing. Did you keep ac? And if you did if you can remember what was the manufacture of your a/c bracket, mine is made buy sanden or somthing to that effect. If you could take a look I would apriceate(sp ) Thanks for the info. I do have the b20 and a 99 ls bracket so mounting the moter is not a problem as i know that theese will work for that, but i got to keep ac got a 3 year old daughter that rides with me often and It gets pretty hot here in the summer. 97HB you look like a good info source as you live in TX so I know it gets hot there.

Use the B20 AC bracket. Its the same as the del Sol.

 

well I ordered rear tranny, upper drivers bracket, and a/c mount today so i gues ill find out that it works or the hard way and no the b20 bracket is not the same I too saw that post but hell i may try it before i open the new one either way ill post what i find out. I am going to take lots of pictures and document swap and try to post
