Default EG H2B build

So this all started because I'm currently building a turbo Prelude. I picked up a bare H22 long block with no accessories and sent it out to GE to be built. I'm having my local shop do the assembly. I've got too much into that build to be f'n it up cause I can be dumb at times.

I was trying to decide what to do with the H22 that is currently in my Prelude, I was thinking I could sell it. But I figured, if the right chassis came along I'd pick it up as a new home for my old H22.

Along came this stripped 92 Cx EG chassis with 136K on the clock, no motor, no tranny, no mounts, no harness, basically no nothing in the engine bay. The interior is nearly immaculate, the body is pretty much as clean as it looks. There's some dents and dings, but the rust is practically non existent.

The build so far:
93 JDM H22A short block
H22 head
H22 IM
H22 prelude exhaust header
H22 fuel rail and regulator
H22 alternator
VTEC solenoid
QSD H2B adapter kit
Stock halfie radiator
LSD B-series hydro tranny, not sure which one, we think its from a CTR
Euro-R single row crank pulley
Kaizenspeed b/s eliminator and H23 tensioner kit
B-series harness previously converted for an ITR
Hasport B-series mounts
Used B-series clutch [just till its running]
JDM P13 ECU
H-series alternator
Oil pan
Map sensor
Innovate alternator relocation bracket
B-series starter
H22 valve cover
GSR intermediate shaft
Fan switch
Water temp sensor
Front water neck
H22 thermostat housing
H22 IACV
IAT sensor
GSR Throttle body
O2 sensor
99 GSR axles
VSS
eBay TPS
JIC upper strut bars
Neuspeed lower strut bar
Lower front strut bar - not sure the brand
OBD2 H22 injectors
Mugen cat back
JDM headlights and corners
Blox rear LCAs
eBay coil sleeves - came on the car

Upgrades I'd like to make:
Koyo half radiator
TWM ITBs
Exedy hyper-single clutch
Quality H2B Header [Bisi, RMF,??, what ev looks good when I'm ready]
H23 crank and rods
H22 type-s pistons
00 Si coupe Electron Blue? paint
Traction bar
P28/72 ECU with Crome, Neptune, Hondata, what ev
NRG H brace
NRG lower rear tie bar
Front and rear sway bars
Type-S or S2 tuner 2/pro1 cams
Wideband O2

I'll post up pics and stuff as I go, it'll be a week or so before I get my old H22 back

Some questions I have, I'll add answers as I figure it out.
I'm mostly familiar with H and D series motors, so the differences in the B-series is going to be a minor challenge for me.

Am I going to have issues with the pin outs on the ECU?
All OBD1 ECUs have the same pin out, its just a matter of which wires have been run.

I don't see an injector resistor box in the car, will the ITR harness have a plug for it?

Do B-series use an injector resistor box?
D-series doesn't, B-series might, either way I am going to need a resistor box wired in.

Also I need to find a set of 6 15x7 or 15x8 universal 4x100 4x114.3 rims, 4 for the hatch, 2 to share drag slicks.

well with the mounts that are made for the swap ya i think. might have to bang the fire wall a little from what i hear. its a way harder swap then a b16 or gsr those are like straight drop in and go.

The short answer is, not as easily as a B block.

But at this point in the game there are plenty of motor mounts, adapter plates, relocation brackets and other stuff that make it fairly straight forward.

There are two real choices to make when swapping an H into the EG, do you mind modifying the frame rails, and which tranny are you going to use.

If you don't want to modify the frame rail, at the minimum you need to remove the rear balance shaft pulley and use a single row crank pulley.

If you want to use a B tranny, there are a couple adapter plates that make it easier/possible. If you want to use an H tranny there are axle and IM shaft options that make it easier, but you still need to watch for binding issues.

That's what I've come across so far in my research. I just got the EG about a week ago, and I haven't gotten my old H back from my Prelude yet. The local shop here doesn't start working on my turbo build till next week.

A friend of mine passed away last week. I'm going to be painting the EG hood white and dedicating it to his memory by making it available to his friends to memorialize him on.

That's what's up, you can also get another eg hood and paint it white and have the red one for a back up or if you ever want to make it one solid color again.

I think I'm going to get a red one for driving around town and only put the white one on for track time.

Since I have 3 fine Hondas, it shouldn't be something I am doing all the time or anything.

Dropped off the hood today with a buddy of mine that does amazing paint work. Not that a white base coat is going to be a challenging task for him, but its another step in the right direction.

I'll post pics later.

Found thermostat housing and front water neck mixed in with garbage [old rods and pistons with cracked ring lands] from the blown block I bought to get sleeved for the turbo build.

Also, I have the stock IACV off the H22 that is coming out of the 'lude. I guess the S2 intake mani for the turbo build needs one from a B-series, so I won't be using the stock one on the turbo.

I'm not sure I understand your question?

My build is in progress, I won't have any information about its actual performance. But tech info, I might be able to help with.
