EF swap speedo question
I'm still in the process of my EF swap. I'm going with a cable LS tranny and am using a JDM PR3 ecu. Since the old tranny had a cable driven speed sensor and the new setup is electronic, how is my speedo supposed to work?

Re: EF swap speedo question (SolAssassin)
replace the electric sensor with a mechanical sensor from a 90-93 integra or any d-series. or alternately replace you cluster with one that uses a electric vss(like 92 and newer clusters).
if you still have your old tranny grab the old vss out of it.

Re: EF swap speedo question (SolAssassin)
I am not familiar with jdm ecu's
with the mechanical/cable vss, the cable spins the odometer (in the cluster), which sends a signal to the ecu and speedo. I wonder if that signal is the same for jdm (electric) and usdm ecus (cable). if not You should be able to rewire the cluster end of it to make it work.
some searching might help you.

Thanks to the both of you for your responses! Do I need to wire this up to the harness somehow? I'm guessing that this sends RPM and vehicle speed?
