Default ECU Recommendations.-

A b16a is going into my 99 EK......I plan on running a straight pipe from the jdm 4-1 header what ECU would you guys recommend. Since I won't have a secondary O2 sensor OBDII is out of the question, correct? There is no buildup on the engine but there are plans to add Skunk2 cams, and valvetrain in the near future.

Thanks a head of time.

well if im rite.. a P30 is the b16a obd1... i think that would be good, cause u would be at all stock settings with a stock motor... but i've heard for modified, that a chipped P28 is better.

i dunno... i would go P30 for now, then search and see what is best to be chipped.. p30 or p28... im a little interested to know this myself.

What was said above is exactly what I would have said

I would recommend using a P30 or get a chipped P28

harness converter + chipped P28 or P08 (most economical way)

both pieces can be had for about $350-450
