Re: LS/VTEC

Just wondering if I could just run a regular p75 LS ecu and wire up the vtec solenoid to an rpm activated switch rather than purchasing a new chipped p28?
TIA

Yes, you can do that... and run a MSD rpm switch box. But unless you chip the LS ECU, you're going to hit that early rev-limiter (depending on what year the LS ECU is.... if it's a P75, should be around 7400 rpms) and the fuel curves will be slightly different, but still DOHC spec so not bad when driving. Mainly the lower rev-limiter will be your only problem but if you get the LS ECU chipped and run the RPM switch box, then it'll run like a poorman's chipped P28 and work perfectly.
