Default ecu question

Can I use the ecu from my '93 civic ex when swapping a b18c with b16a head into my car, or will I need an OBD-II ecu. I know that I will need OBD-II wiring harness and distributor, etc., but I was wondering about the ecu.

yes you can use it if you convert the harness from OBDII to OBD1 if the engine is from OBD2. Your car will run like crap but will run.

I would suggest if you want to run OBD1 then get the P28 chipped.

if u want your car to run right you have to get your p28 ecu chipped to run a dohc vtec. you can use what ever wiring harness came with your engine. as for the distributor it doesnt matter if its obd1 or 2
