Default ECU question

I have the P2P ECU from my Civic EX and a shiny '97 B18C1 in the garage. Is this ECU gonna start the motor up and get me around when i get it all dropped and plugged in?

Nobody's answered and I'm not definite... but given the EX has vtec... you might get the engine started... but WHO KNOWS after that ! heh heh heh...

Before the motor was on a P28. My understanding is that the P28 and P2P are similar except for being OBD1 and OBD2. What would cause it to run badly besides having the wrong VTEC activation point and no secondary butterfly. Would the maps be similar between the P28 and P2P?

Your using a 1.6l ECU on a 1.8l motor and you expect it to run 'good'?

As kenji said...it'll work, not very well, but it'll work.
