Which ecu??? Help anyone?
hey guys, i got a 98spec jdm type r motor in my 94 integra ls chasis. I ran the vtec wires to my ls wire harness. i'm keeping it odb1, but which ecu should i be using to get the best performance out of it? Should i use a 95 gsr ecu and reprogram it?

well, if you're not planning to do anymore mods , talk to Kenji about one of his ECU's. Otherwise, i'd suggest that you get all your mods together and get Hondata.
Kenji can also help you program stuff so either way, i'd say Hondata or Kenji. you should PM him if need more info on ECU's n stuff.

Why does this just not sound right?
An LS did not have any provision for VTEC, and probably some of the other sensors in an ITR motor.
You MAY have a little more work ahead of you wrt a wiring harness for the JDM motor in a USDM LS.

would it be okay to run a custom chipped p28 ecu than Kenji's because im planning to get this swap and my car already has a chipped ecu which was used on my friend's built b16. the chip was customized by BUBA who used to work at trackmasters

zygspeed, yea you're right. Would you be able to point out exactly which sensors will not work? I already have a problem with my vtec. When vtec kicks in...the car doesn't pull. Its making no power. i'm guessing theres something wrong with my distibutor. what do you think?
