Default which ecu code list should I go by?

I've just finished puting a b18c5 in my civic with a hondata stage 3 obd1 conversion (p28 ecu).

I threw a code 1 the other day and looked in both my helm's manuals. If I go by the one for the integra it says bad ecu (car runs perfect), if I go by the civic book that says code 1 == bad o2 sensor. Any rate... I reset the ecu and the code went away (for now).

Am I correct when refering to the civic helm's since the p28 is from a civic... right?

Any direction???

Use the P28 codes.

bad ecu should be a code zero or a constant light when you go to check the codes i am not sure which one. But a code one is a bad o2.
