Default DOHC cam timing

when setting the cam timing on my zc, the stock cam gears have arrows and the word "up" written on both. They also have lines on either side of the (2 on each cam gear) that are supposed to be parallel to the head. Does anybody know just how "up" they should point? On my motor, they don't like to sit straight up, I think because in that position they have to work against the force of the valve springs.

I checked dmoore's site at
http://thenew.gamesbbs.com/~dmoore/zc-phase2.htm

and he says they should be off center a bit... the pictures next to the text don't work! grrr. plus, i can't find his email address to ask him about it. anybody know what the deal is? thanks!
