Just make a bracket so it idles fine and gets a full sweep. But if you do get a new one it is a 2 minute job to put it in.

The problem with the DX/CX/LX EK cable is that it is super long. The EX and HX can be reused and if you really wanted to I guess you could rig the DX one on there but.... It's not like a throttle cable is very expensive, we're talking about $20 here not something that'll break the bank. Using the proper throttle cable not only looks cleaner but is less likely to stick and will function properly.

You can use the car's original cable. It is longer, but will work.
Or, just buy a B-series cable...
Me, I used my stock cable, and had no problems...

I think a lot of you guys have EG's and swapped in a B series and used the original throttle cable. There's a big difference between the EG base models and an EK base model. The EK's that have the D16Y7 have a super long throttle cable that loops to the front then back onto an upright throttle body. I'm not saying it won't work, but it's way easier to get the proper matching B series cable for the motor.

Ya that's what I was thinking as well. Because my TB is pointed straight up, instead of side ways. Im sure the EX is much different then mine.

im using my EX cable with my gsr swap...
its A LOT longer...i actually didnt make a bracket for it...i just made a knot near the end so its shorter...dont really recommend it cuz its not reliable...
just a temporary solution till i get my new cable...

u just knot it...and make sure its real tight...i dont recommend it...but if u have to, then its a simple way to go...
